My love of black and white images is barely surpassed by my love of African wildlife, particularly, elephants. A decade in the past on my first wildlife safari in Uganda. We occurred upon a herd of elephants, my first encounter with these magnificent beasts was one a daunting one. Sadly, the previous had not been variety to the elephants dwelling on this reserve. They’d been hunted for his or her ivory. Though searching now not takes place, elephants don’t forget or forgive simply. Each time we drove near the elephants, they’d cost. I used to be a novice wildlife photographer on the time, and this encounter made me very cautious of elephants.
Ten years later and after many safari journeys and tens of 1000’s of images. I’ve fallen in love with African elephants. I’ve spent numerous hours of their presence. Have witnessed probably the most uncommon behaviors and interactions. Elephants are very clever animals and may really feel and choose up on feelings. If you’re calm and peaceable, they too will mirror these feelings.
Understanding elephant habits has allowed me the privilege of photographing distinctive moments that few folks will ever witness. As a fine-art wildlife photographer, my mission is to share stunning black and white prints of African wildlife. Hopefully, to encourage and ignite a ardour for all wildlife on our stunning planet.
